The Bulldog is a Lakeview gem. Its right across the street from the cemetaries and next to Mid City. They have like 40 beers on tap, good wifi, and lots of tables. They also have shuffleboard. The patio is huge as well. It's not covered but they do have heaters and fans out there. There's one couch if you want to cuddle, but otherwise the tables inside are a mix of high tops and low tops. Beers are reasonably priced, and the music is usually solid but not too loud to have a conversation.
Being only a couple years into living here this place is where I've made so many friends. Midcity is all locals and you can have a great drink (the happy hour is the best deal in town) and some great food. My favorite is seeing Gus the schnauzer sitting at the bar!
The bartenders here have been so kind and welcoming. I'm a nomad and they made me feel like I was at my favorite local brewery from back home. There are so many different (mostly local) beers on tap, they allow dogs inside and out, and be sure to grab "The Works" burger. I'm going to miss this place.
My wife and I were vacationing in New Orleans and stopped in to the Bulldog a few weeks ago. The food was good, prices reasonable and we were able to spend some time chatting with the bartender, Chris and a couple regulars. We gained some good knowledge about Mardi Gras and the Carnival season in general. It was a very friendly atmosphere. We'll definitely be going back next time we're in New Orleans.

The Bulldog Mid-City is truly the best bar in the city. I have been going there regularly I have held several parties there and each one of them was amazing.for the past 15 years and it never disappoints. The food is the best bar food in New Orleans and the service is incredible. Chris has been serving me for many years and I look forward to seeing him each time I come in. Johnny the manager always greets us with a big smile and make us feel like part of the family. The outdoor patio is the best in the city and the giant TV’s on the patio make The Bulldog the best place to watch the games. I have held several parties there and each one of them was amazing! Keep up the great work!
Yum, so delicious, so fun. Got the Cuban wrap and it was delicious. The draft choices are insane, so many to choose from. Lots of seating and fun decor of dogs and bars. Don't shop, adopt! I'd definitely go there again.
If you ever need a beer, a really good cold beer, come to @bulldog_midcity, you will be pleased. I had the Blackened Voodoo one, a smooth and yummy black beer. Thanks to my French @meetup I found this really cool, great atmosphere and fun place.
